My Fitbit versa died minutes after I swim with it for the first time

Yesterday I went for quick swim hoping to get some workout done, I figured since the Fitbit is water resistance 50 M and i’ve already used it so many times in the shower everything will be alright. To my surprise just a few minutes after I started swimming it completely shut down and the sign of a “battery empty” appeared on the screen (it was a full batery before the I entered the pool) . I was very disappointed but kept hoping it was just a silly mal function... I let it dry completely and after 4-5 hours I plugged it to the charger and my phone could still detect the watch but the screen was just blank. I already try to reset it 3 times and the screen still won’t work, I charged it completely, and still nothing. I’ve tried everything. This is my second Fitbit Versa, it’s almost new! Not even a scratch! I got it exchange last year due to a mal function with the altimeter as well .. it’s a pretty expensive watch for it to be crashing once a year . I’d very much appreciate if I can get my money back so i can Go back to my charge 3 witch never gave a problem whatsoever on the 3 years I used it. Honestly, The Fitbit Versa is very poor quality.

Unless you have an extended warranty, they will only give you no more than 25% off a new one.  It is based on one year from the time of initial purchase.  You may still want to contact customer service to be sure that you tried all that can be tried to make your watch work.

I have the same problem! Never had any problems with it during swimsessions, but after last weekend it doesn’t work good anymore. The screen keeps going black
