My Fitbit versa lite isn’t counting floors.

I got my Versa Lite about 3 weeks ago and it has not counted a single floor since the day I got it. Soft and hard reset have not done anything to help.

I live up a step hill with many steps and my walk home would usually count about 30 floors on my blaze. Give or take.

is this a version issue that an update will fix? Or a faulty product?

it was a gift so I can’t return it but I might go back to using my blaze.

thank you

Amanda

Versa Lite does not count floors.  It does not have an altimeter.  That is one of the things that makes it "Lite".  It eliminates one of the hardware components and makes the waterproofing less of a problem.

But stairs are a stand-alone statistic; i.e. lack of stairs does not affect calories burned.

Hi @AmandaTaka, the device is functioning as it should be.  If you look at the comparison page, you will see it doesn't count floors.

That's because it doesn't count stairs. My other fitness tracker did count flights of stairs but in all reality there's not much difference than counting regular steps. So I don't miss it at all. As long as it's counting the steps. But the first of lite does not count flights to begin with so it's not a faulty device at all.
