Hi all!
Why does my Fitbit say I can eat more calories than I have burned today, especially when I have it set to be in a daily 500 calorie deficit?
for example, it says I have burned 2052 calories but I have “2417 left for the day” to eat. (It’s 5pm currently if that matters).
Is it estimating how much I’ll burn with my resting heart rate so I’ll have burned maybe 2900 by end of day, if no added activities, & if I ate 2400, then I will still be in the deficit?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Deck95.
Thank you for the information provided.
Your Food Plan shouldn't recommend eating more calories than what you've burned. You can find information about how the Food Plan works in this site.
Our team has just released a new version of the Fitbit app (3.39.1 iOS or 3.39.2 Android). For instructions on how to verify your current version and update, please visit this article, open the menu "How do I update the Fitbit app?" and follow the instructions.
See you around.
