My Pixel (2016) Doesn't work with this thing!

I can't receive texts  (SMS app textra and messages tried)

Gmail comes through in duplicates.

Hangouts comes through for the first few chat messages then other messages are not relayed to the watch until a minute or so then it picks up again.  RE syncing  in the app fixes it for another message or two.

All Day Sync: ON

Always Connect: ON

Keep-Alive Widget: ON

(And tried every combination each and every way)

Hangouts check under notifications.

Reset watch and redid Bluetooth connection and app.

Oh and.... I can't control music. Volume works with watch buttons.

(Got music control to show but it was the wrong info on the screen and when you leave the bluetooth control screen and come back controls are gone again)

Bad first fitbit experience. Great health tracking and wow it knew exactly how many flights but **ahem**ed if it does any smart watch stuff.

Try doing a factory reset and start over.

@SunsetRunner It sounds like it coukd be a compatability issue. Is your phone model on the Supported Devices List?

I'm also having issues with my pixel/versa combination. The Fitbit app doesn't show the apps on my versa or load the available apps. The notifications for text messages are not coming through either. The wallet won't appear when holding the back button down either.

Yes. It's a supported phone.

I factory reset the watch but no way should I have to reset the phone. Fitbit needs to build a working product like Androidwear and Pebble before them. 

Is there any log I can send to Fitbit? I haven't heard from a single Pixel owner where this or the ionic actually work after fit os 2.0

My versa is now working with whatever updates were made yesterday. No more issues with notifications or the wallet not appearing

I wonder if there is Bluetooth reconnect problems? I unpaired by Pebble Time when I started using my Versa. 

Something may be competing with your phones bluetooth or bluetooth may not stay connected when idle?

It was an app called Reply (by google) 

It reads messages and gives you responses in the context of the situation. (ie, in car it tells the person you are driving)

I deleted this app and texts work now on my pixel for my versa.
