My Samsung A526U phone won't connect to Versa 3 Controls

I just got my new Versa 3 today. I was able to pair it with my phone so it is tracking my stats, I got it to connect/pair with my wireless earbuds with no trouble. But I cannot get call to come through on my Versa 3, it is not finding my phone for pairing in the Bluetooth setting in the actual device. I have restarted both my phone as well as the Versa 3 several times now. I have unpaired and repaired my Versa with phone several times now. I have reinstalled my Versa through the app already, and still the Versa and my phone will not pair/connect to allow me to take calls. I spent 30 min catting with tech support through Fitbit and they were not able to help me.

Can anyone help me? Is my Versa 3 just defective?

Hi @PAveras3user - your watch must be syncing well with the Fitbit App for calls/texts to come through. Things to try for calls:

  • In the Fitbit App, click profile photo, device photo
  • In Bluetooth click the gear icon for Versa 3 Controls
  • turn the items on [they won't stay on for long]
  • in the Fitbit App click on-wrist calls and make sure it connects

Also in the watch Settings, Vibration & audio scroll down to Music controls & on-wrist calls and make sure it's on. You may need to repeat the above procedure to get it on.

If you want to see if the watch can reach the phone at any time use the SimpleCheckUp app. It also tells you when the watch last synced and other useful information. It will help isolating connection problems.

I am having the same problem pairing Versa controls with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The phone settings and fit bit say it is paired, but when I try to turn on the phone settings it just says "waiting to pair" then says it has failed to pair.
