My versa 2 doesn't stay connected to my phone. Missing calls, texts. Versa is up to date. Any suggestions?

I understand how you fell about this. I'd recommend you check this article, How do I get notifications from my phone in my Fitbit device?.
Some users usually find it useful to unpair and then pair both apps again to refresh the performance, if you already have them paired.
Also you can try to restart your device.
