My Versa 2 firmware is not updating

Just got my versa 2 and I am unable to update it. I did the initial update when setting it up, but now I’m unable to download clock faces or apps due to it “not being updated”. I checked the versa 2 latest update and was told my Fitbit is up to date. Plugged it into my laptop to no avail. Also restarted my Fitbit still no update. 
anyone have this same issue and found a solution ?

Thank you for the information provided and for trying to resolve the issue with your Fitbit Versa 2 before contacting us.

 

Currently, the latest firmware version for the Versa 2 is 35.72.1.9 as stated in this article. Please be aware that for Fitbit devices set up recently, it might be necessary to wait a couple of days to download the most recent firmware version. In the Fitbit app you will receive a notification over the next days to update. Thank you for your patience.

Same here. This the 2nd time this happened to me. I  love my versa2 as well.  I purchased it in Dec, 2019, worked perfectly until May or july, 2020, wouldn't turn on or even charge. Contacted Fitbit.  They replaced it, no problem.  The 2nd versa2 working perfectly until April 21, 2021. Battery apparently died before firmware update completed. Contacted Fitbit again and was told because I was passed the 1 year warranty of my initial purchase back in Dec, 2019 they couldn't replace it but would give me a 35% discount towards a new one.  Needless to say I'm very disappointed and now looking for another one...but it most definitely will not be a Fitbit!!!

Same happened to me. I took the 35% and purchased another fitbit BUT HOW long does this “cycle” go on?
