My Versa 2 got wet and it won't turn on

I was on my honeymoon last week and my Versa 2 got wet in the ocean. (I was just splashing in the waves). Since it's supposed to be waterproof does fitbit replace? I got the watch Feb 2020. I do not have a warranty plan on it, however this is the first time I've ever got it wet and it broke right away. Since it's supposed to be waterproof I'm thinking someone can help? I tried putting it in rice for 24 hours and it still won't turn on.  😭
