My Versa 2 haven't yet received the new update

Hi.

 

Does anyone knows how the rollout for the new Update works? I still haven't received any update banner in the app, and what worries me the most is that my Versa warranty ends up in 2 weeks.. And reading all the issues people is having, I would like to upgrade in the warranty time frame. Would that be possible?

They tend to rollout new software slowly in phases with only some people getting it with each phase. It can take a couple of weeks to fully rollout. The choice of who gets it at each phase seems random and we cannot force an upgrade to be available any earlier so I'm afraid we just have to wait until the app banner appears.

 

If you are having issues and your warranty is coming to an end I would contact support now rather than waiting for new software.

I'm not having issues (except for the HR monitor that is awful after the last update), but I've read the amount of watches that died during the upgrade, and it's just scary to do so out of warranty.

 

If my watch breaks being out of warranty for an upgrade, you bet I'll never buy a fitbit product again.

Don't install it too fast, since I had the latest update the battery is flushing at crazy speed.
