My fiancé and I have the exact same watch. We did the same activities today. This has been an issue for a while, so I made sure every time he went up a step I went up the same step to check. My Fitbit logged 3 floors while his logged 22. This is insane to me. I walked up and down my flights of stairs at least 10 times so I’m confused on why my watch doesn’t reflect this

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Daggnus.
Thank you for the information provided.
Since your Fitbit Versa 2 looks for continuous motion, pausing when you go up a flight of stairs can cause the device to not count the floor. Exposure to excess moisture can also cause result in fewer floors.
We recommend wearing your device worn loosely during exercise. For recommendations on how to wear your watch please visit this article, open the menu "What are some tips to make sure I wear my Fitbit device correctly?" and follow the instructions.
Whether this doesn't help, please perform a restart to your watch.
See you around.

I have the opposite problem. Ever since the syncing issue that everyone was having, my Versa 2 has been grossly overstating my floors. Today, my Versa 2 shows that I climbed 38 floors. In actuality, I have only walked 12 floors. Every time there is a glitch or firmware upgrade I have some problem with this watch.

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community @klm4iast8.
Your Fitbit Versa 2 may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes.
Whether the above is not related to your case, the best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Please click here to get connected.
If you want to remove the extra floors from your account please visit this article, open the menu "How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?" and follow the instructions.
See you around.

These fitbits are so inaccurate I just walked up eight flights of stairs and it didn't change my floor count. But I can sit on the couch watching TV and it'll add 10 floors. Wtf?
