My Versa 2 is not recording my steps properly

Hi everyone, 

My new versa is skipping to every 8 steps. Ex: 8, 16, 24, 32,..... How do I make it roll normally? Like every two steps from odd to even? I am in challenges where this will effect the outcome.

 

I have factory reset and reinstalled the app. Shut down for ten minutes. Shut off and then back on wifi and Bluetooth.  All with the same result.

 

Was enjoying my Inspire but it didn't track floors so I upgraded.
