My Versa 2 replacement won't connect to my phone

Okay, I ended up having to get a new versa(after a pretty catastrophic failure of my first one). No matter what I do, it partly connected last night, did an update, then couldn't finish it because it stopped staying connected to Bluetooth and wouldn't do it over wifi either. I've restarted my phone, the watch, Bluetooth. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I've made sure all permissions are on. I didn't have this problem with my old one, so it's messed up that the same watch, on the same phone is now refusing to work.

I can't think of anything else to try to fix it.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following:

  • Remove the old Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth settings and from the Fitbit app.
  • Restart your new Versa 2
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 2.
