My Versa 2 will not track my workouts

Hi, I just got my Versa 2 as a gift. I've used fitbit for many years but since I have upgraded, this one will not track my workouts when I do an hour or 30 mins on elliptical. I honestly don't think it even tracks my step count properly while I use the elliptical. But when I go for my walk it tracks it as a workout, my step count otherwise good. 

I have tried restarting it, but I haven't seen a difference. Is there any other solutions? I would prefer factory reset a last option if possible.

I am not able to do "workouts" but when I know I will be walking (pushing cart sometimes) and only counts 100+ steps.  Today I walked emtire interior of Walmarts and it only logged 200 steps!

Versa 2 didn't track my bike rides today.
