My wife’s blaze and my Versa 1 no longer connect and sync to our respective phones as of yesterday. Does this have something to do with all those old devices going offline if they’re old?

Hi @Chuck_spicer which phones are you using? I read something about older phones not being able to work now as the cell requirements to run seem to be changing.

Hi odyssey. We are both using up-do-date iPhone 12 models. However. I know for a fact the Blaze and Versa haven’t been updated for ages. Some searching shows even my Versa has firmware from around 2018. Could it be possible these devices are affected by this internet-old-device shutdown thing?
im surprised the Versa would be affected, but I’m at a loss for why this would happen to both of our devices on the same day and have the same issue.

Hey @Odyssey13 yep, I’ve done the usual stuff including restarting the Fitbit, the phone, deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app, re-pairing the Bluetooth etc. only thing I haven’t haven’t done is the factory reset of the verses as I didn’t want to lose my data but I can try it now.

Hi everyone. So a very strange development. I noticed it was syncing as soon as I left the house. Turns out my versa won’t sync when my phone is connected to wifi now. It connects and syncs fine when the phone is using 4G data.
Will also test for the Blaze as it also had this issue appear at the same time.
