My Versa Lite won't vibrate when I receive notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a versa lite and when I receive text message notifications, it doesn't vibrate. If I go see manually I can see my message but it doesn't vibrate.

the only time it vibrates is when I get a phone call.

what can I do to fix it? It is really annoying

Thank you

@Pb7777, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa won't vibrate when receiving text notifications. I understand how you feel about this.

Please let me know what is the brand and model of your phone. In the meantime, make sure that your phone has the most recent Fitbit app version installed.

Finally, restart your Versa as descrbed in this help article. After this, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

@Pb7777, I'm sorry for the late response. However, I appreciate the time spent trying the steps shared above.

I'd like you to try one more workaround that has been helpful. Try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Please sync your watch before this in order to avoid losing current data.

Finally, turn off the notifications feature and turn them back on and see if your Versa vibrates properly when receiving a text message.

Let me know how it goes.

This is happening to me as well. I have done all the recommended restarts and setups also. Same phone too.

Hi @Hp20, thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community. Thank you also for trying the troubleshooting steps listed above.

I'd like you to try another way to perform a factory reset. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.
  • Set up your watch from scratch again and see if the issue gets fixed.

I'll be around if more assistance is needed.
