My Versa Won’t Turn On

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, I’ve been having issues with my versa with it not syncing, so after doing everything I could possibly do my last option was perform a factory reset which I did. However the issue is now that my versa will not come back on, I’ve done to typical power on with the buttons and nothing.

please can someone help!

Had exactly the same problem this weekend!!! Contacted support and they’re not interested - the watch is only 1.5 years old very disappointed
If you’re in the Eu and the watch is less than 2 years old they’ll replace it but if over 1 year and not in the EU (UK) it’s tough luck. I hope you’re watch isn’t as “old” as mine was!

Hi, @Keilee, the factory reset can be a little bit tricky, and I would definitely not advise trying it for syncing issues - there are much simpler solutions for that, so if it should happen again, please post in the Community before performing the reset.

Give your current situation, I would strongly recommend getting in touch with Fitbit Customer support and let them talk you through the fix.

Hi, @nuttyduffy , if you have contacted Support and not got the help you need, it is possible that someone in the Community could work with you to try to help.

So, to understand your issue, you attempted the factory reset  and following that you are not able to turn your Fitbit on at all?

If there is any further information to add, please let us know.

I would first make sure that your Fitbit is well charged.  Please plug it in to a UL/CE wall charger that is known to be working (test it!  usually the charger that came with your cell phone is ideal, as long as it will accept a USB cable).

Give your Fitbit an hour or two charge, even if it does not seem to be responding.

Once it has had a good charge, first try a simple restart of your Versa.  Press and hold the back button (left button).  You are usually advised to hold for 10 seconds, but if the Versa has become non responsive you may need to hold much longer - 20-30 seconds.

This may bring your Versa back to life.  Please try this a couple of times before moving on to the next step.  Be patient, make sure your Versa is properly charged, and give the button a good long hold.

If you get nowhere whit this, because your Fitbit no longer has an on screen menu you will need to retry the factory reset again, this time using buttons only.  To try this:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

Please try to follow the instructions exactly.

If you are patient, hopefully it will work.  Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Julia I initially charged the watch for 24 hours and tried all of the button things but no joy, which is when I contacted support. I have just done the back button for well over a minute and the 0% battery sign flashed up!  I’ve just put it back on charge to see what happens so will update you in a couple of hours. Fingers crossed as I do love my Versa and was so disappointed by the Supports response.
