Yesterday, after I took my Versa off the charger, it was showing me charging status percent charged instead of the time whenever I brought my arm up to view it, I could tap the screen once and it would then show the time. This morning I decided to place it back on the charger for a bit to try to get it out of that mode of operation and it seems to have done that. Charges generally last me 4 days to get down to 20% when I recharge it.
My old Fitbit HR would give me credit for climbing stairs doing an inclined elliptical machine, but I get none from the Versa; other than that, I am happy with it so far. Opening our pool soon and will be counting on the water resistance for water activity, which accidentally killed my HR after I jumped in a pool with it still on.

It's great to see you around @bkeller.
Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. I am glad to hear that your charging percentage issue has been resolved. If this happens again, you can try to restart your Versa. About the floors, keep in mind that since you are in an elliptical you are not actually climbing stairs so, your Versa won't register all of that information.
If you are going to swim with your Versa, just remember to dry it after and if you need anything else, do not hesitate to post it.

Thank you. I will dry it off after I am out of the water. The FitBit HR was able to detect motion up and down even for inches at a time; this is what allowed giving stairs credit on an inclined elliptical machine. Now I have to go up farther to get the stairs credit. Walking a golf course I still get credit for several flights of stairs thanks to elevation change, but not as many as I used to get with my HR. It will likely take me years to get my next badge for flights of stairs - my last badge was 14,000 flights of stairs in my first 18 months. My average has dropped from about 50 flights/day on active days to 12. Oh well.
