My Versa is locked

Hi,

 

I have an old Versa that I am trying to reinstall as I have left my new Versa at a friends house 5 hours away. The old Versa won't install as it says 'use phone to unlock'. I can't use the phone to unlock it as the app doesn't recognize the device because it won't let the app send me a pairing code.

 

Can anyone one help? I have tried the three button factory reset but I can't get that to work at all. Any help would be amazing.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this lock issue. @Bellaboos@amyc7107 and @AmandaJx, if you are experiencing this, I recommend taking a look at the help article: How do I unlock my Fitbit device with my phone? and follow the instructions provided there.

If you have an old Fitbit paired to your account and want to setup a new once, you need to delete the previous watch and pair the new one. For this, follow the steps in the article: How do I set up my Fitbit device?.

The versa I am trying to unlock was set up to my phone. I have tried to open it with my phone. I tried to pair it with my phone and it won’t show me the 4 digit code. It says I need to unlock it with my phone. I have tried to factory reset it and it won’t. Thanks

Same, I just keep going around in circles.  I need the pin,  can't get the pin,  need to unlock issuing phone,  can't cos I need a pin.  It is rubbish!

The information /solution I am getting from the email support is just the same as what has been posted previously, and I am still experiencing the same issue.

 The fitbit is paired,  the 3 button factory reset won't work,  and I can't unpair and pair because I can't access the code as the fitbit is locked to pair it again.

Is it possible to claim under warranty?

Yes it is. They reached out to me after my post and did offer a replacement since it was under warranty still.

@Bellaboos Thanks for the update. Sorry for the delayed response.

 

On this case, I would recommend updating Customer Support to obtain further assistance. I'm pretty sure they will be happy to find a way to get you back on track.

In order for the factory reset to occur the device logo needs to be available. As the reinstall failed the versa won’t produce a 4d code to sync with the phone. Therefore this factory reset can’t work. Any other suggestions? Cheers
