Not sure why but since April 8th my Versa wont sync and update in the app. Anyone else experiencing this?

I’m noticing my versa isn’t updating my hourly movement. For example, I’ve moved 250 steps 5 hours out of 7 today and the app only shows 1 hour. Does anyone ever answer these queries?

Me too. I have to delete and then re-add it over and over. It acts like the bluetooth is out. Sometimes I end up re-adding it several times a day.

I really regret this purchase.

mine went the same date, been having nothing but nightmares trying to get it to go again.

tried all the "tips" they say to try to no avail... wound up getting completely frustrated and deleted the versa from the app and then did a factory reset on mine (BTW... WORST idea ever) been fighting the fact that the versa now wont connect via bluetooth or even getting the wifi to connect. At first i thought i had got it connected synched with the app only to find it was dumping the versa or the other way around. either way i somehow magically got it to re-load to the app, just can't get it to complete the update with wifi as it won't connect to that either. I've really lost patience with the dang thing i'm ready to go get a garmin watch and hope it's somewhat better..... be interested to hear any one else's success story as so far it's been grim looking lol.

I got the same problem starting a few days ago. I managed to get it reconnected and updated yesterday, but when I work up it refuses to connect / sync again.

If anyone finds a solution, please share it.

I managed to get mine connected again. To do this, I did the following:

  • I went outside so I was sure I wasn't in range of any other Bluetooth devises
  • Turned off Bluetooth on the phone
  • Turned off WiFi on the phone
  • Rebooted the phone
  • Rebooted the Versa 2

After both had been rebooted:

  • I turned on Bluetooth on the phone again
  • Opened the Fitbit app
  • Went into Account -> Devices -> Versa 2
  • Tried to Sync Now again

It took quite a while, but it connected and had the data from the previous day, including hr and sleep.

Will be curious when it'll loose connecting again. Will update again tomorrow how it goes.

Thanks for that info.  I did do all that, apart from going outside lol.  So I'll give that a try.

Delete the Versa in your Bluetooth settings on your phone and let the watch connect on its own.

Lost connection 30 minutes ago and it refuses to reconnect! Getting annoying.

It lost the connection while watching TV and having the phone max a meter away.

I've tried that and reset the blue tooth afterwards only to have the **ahem** versa not be found... i'm close to seeing how it fairs against a hammer at this point. I have had it connect, synch a few times then down and out again... lol sooo frustrating

I've tried everything, spent hours & hours & hours messing with this thing. Should have bought a $1 pedometer!

I've come to the conclusion that the Versa 2 must have a very weak Bluetooth chip or crappy software, because I can always get it to reconnect if I make sure to go to the back of my garden, where there aren't any other Bluetooth devices. It just takes a short while. Can anyone else try this and see if they get the same result? Maybe/hopefully Fitbit can use this information to provide a software fix, if it's not bad or faulty hardware.

Harboe, I've tried this with my versa, and as it stands, my blue tooth on my iphone and the watch itself will not find each other. In my other devices today i have nothing, while the other day the watch and phone did find each other. I'm about to brave sitting in Queue for help as if the darn thing is only like 7 months old and had i known then these issues would occur i would never have paid for the product. good luck with yours as well!!

I’ve tried avoiding all other Bluetooth devices.  I did this very early on, made no difference.  So have most of the others with issues.  I’m still waiting for a second response from support.... but I’m resigned to just throwing this Versa in the bin and going to another brand.

How is your Versa going now?  I still have the issue with Bluetooth syncing and not keeping time.  I’ve had 2 responses from support.  I was told to do a factory reset which I did.  OMG what a disaster!  Took me hours to set it up again and I mean hours!  The update was eventually downloaded (took 12 hours I kid you not).  Then as soon as I put it on my wrist, everything dropped out again.   So now Fitbit is assessing my warranty so I guess that is an admission that mine is totally *&$#. And I believe that everyone else’s device will be the same.   Hardware? Software?  Not sure but certainly an inferior product whatever the reason.

GrammyCath... I gave up trying to mess around with mine, it is doing the exact same as what you described.... Perhaps i should have more patience with support (i didn't like being 35th in line the one time i tried to get help lol) Hopefully when i get to days off from work and i can afford the time to sit and wait i will get somewhere with them. Hope that they do something for you that is helpful !!

I was able to get it to re-connect, but I had to delete and re-add the Versa a couple of times.

I have found (over the 30ish times I've had to do this) that the best way to get the phone to see the fitbit during setup is to go into setting on the fitbit, scroll down to 'about' and touch that, and there is a shutdown option.

Shut the fitbit down and then start the new fitbit setup. When it gets to the 'searching' part, turn the fitbit back on by holding the side button.

It will find it every time. But, it still sux that I have to go through this every 2 weeks or so. I lose all my settings and have to go re-configure it to be the way I like it all over again.

I had the Versa Lite before this one, and i had to return it because it never finished its factory reset. Loading the software via blue tooth is insane! I was hoping this one would work better.
