My Versa quit working right after its first swim.!

Oh this is so stressful.... I looked up on the forum if my Versa would be fine if I went swimming and I guess I just saw the positive comments about it and went for it. I was led to believe it worked fine in the shower... which mine did, heh kept me from taking too long of one and not late for work.... but today I decided to go swimming, haven't done that in years and I had fun... but about 15 minutes into it my Versa died and went black... I gave it to my  mom to hold till we were done.

Once we got home I managed to get it to turn back on, but the sensor was non stop red and none of the sensors will work now...

I was planning on tracking my time in the pool, but wound up with a fitness watch that just tells time....

Sorry for the overly long story, but now after I've tried charging and restarting and now I get a faint red light in the sensor area... it looked one time like it was gonna work and the green lights were flashing, but then it restarted the watch and it's been that weird faint red ever since.

I hope there's a simple fix for the problem, but I'm afraid the inevitable and need a replacement... makes me wanna keep a new one completely away from the water... but that's one of the reasons that I got the watch and not another brand.

Just to clarify.... I got my Versa as a Christmas present this last December and it has worked almost perfectly fine, other than the first 5 months of its life was paired to a phone with Android Kitkat 4.4.2  on it, but it did its basic functions and kept track of my heart rate.

But what I'm trying to say is that it was working perfectly fine till I went swimming... I had a weird feeling I should have taken the watch off, but I didnt...

The watch was bought from Walmart and has a 2 year added warranty or insurance... I'm not sure what it actually was... should I go through them to fix the problem?
