My versa stopped working today and I am so mad. My watch was fine yesterday. When I putt it on the charger and woke up this morning it did not charge at all. It is at 0% and will not charge. What is going on here? You don't have Versa 2 on your website anymore I assume you stopped selling them. I am so disappointed with Fitbit since google purchased them. I guess I will have to purchase a apple watch.

Hi @Steels07 - before giving up, try using a PC port to power the watch and make sure the terminals are clean on both sides.
Place on the charger and see if it is syncing, very often water damage can produce those symptoms.
You can still buy a Versa 2 in the shops or elsewhere online if you stay with Fitbit, this is preferable to latest more expensive models which don't even have the features you have now.
If you are after good battery life have a look at Garmin, some models do 10 days which is better than the Apple 1 day,

It started charging again after I put it back on the charger. I was so surprised. My battery level never went down to 0%. I always charged it up b4 it went that low. If I ever need a replacement will check out Garmin.

My Versa stopped working again it show 4% on the charger and shows the face and time but once I take it off the charger it shows the battery at 0%. I guess it is on its way out. I keep trying though maybe it will start charging. I press the buttons to get the Fitbit logo and it does not show until it is back on charger. I will not buy another one though because not worth it when you only get 35% off the high price one at the regular price, Fitbit versa 2, 3 and 4 and charge 5 all have issues and Fitbit will not replace them for free unless it is under warranty where you can see it is battery issues for sure and will not take responsibility for it.

Thanks for the thumbs up @Guy_

@Guy_ Update my Fitbit is toast and no longer works. The only thing offered to me was 35% coupon on new one which i knew they offer me. I will not be using it. I will be saving up my money for something else since Fitbit won’t admit to battery issues with their products. This all happen last month. Whatever they did with their app updates ruined a lot of devices. Hopefully there will be some great sales coming for the holidays.

It's not just battery issues - it seems like they pushed an app update in late July that caused the Versa 2s to enter a reboot loop. And since it's in the reboot loop, we can't download the new firmware update, which I guess would fix it... if it could stay booted long enough for the download.
FitBit's unwillingness to accept that they killed many of the Versa 2s all at one time is very disappointing for us loyal users. I agree that it's time to switch to something else.

i’m having this exact same issue and i’m so frustrated! I have had a fitbit since 2015, and i’ve had to replace my smartwatch three times. no way i’m getting another one. it’s not worth the hassle of buying a new expensive watch every 18 months! such a disappointment. I was hoping it would fix itself but your post has me believing I should just toss it out.

I don’t blame you for being frustrated. Sorry that your Versa is not working for you. You had to replace your smartwatch three times crazy. To me it seems like they don’t care at all. Maybe by some chance it will start looking for you. I did all the instructions like cleaning my Versa, the charging cable and it still did not work. It looks like it is charging on the charger but once I take it off it went back to 0%. It all started August 2 and started working again and this last time never worked again. 35% discount was not acceptable to me to purchase another one which will not last as long as my first one, NO THANKS!!!! Their products are crap!!!!!

My Versa 3 failed after 7 months (the battery won't last more than 8h) and they replaced under warranty. Guess what? The replacement one failed exactly after roughly the same amount of time and in the same manner! I have 2 Versa 3s that failed in the same way. The last one overheated which reminded me of the Ionic ones that were recalled. I was told that it needs to be charged on a laptop/computer USB port only (who can charge it only there?). I also know for sure that if you leave it in the charger after it reached 100% (even if the charger is an approved UL charger) the watch will get destroyed. This sounds to me like a poor design. I won't pay the high price for a watch that will last a little longer than it's warranty period. I was offered a discount as well which I won't use it as I lost the confidence in the brand. They won't accept any fault even if it is obvious by number of posts related to this issue that there is a major issue with these watches...

That is crazy your replacement did the same thing. I agree poor design and battery and software. I don’t blame you for not wanting to purchase another Fitbit product. I agree too they won’t accept any fault. More people should stop buying their products and maybe they do something about it. 35% off a Fitbit is not very good. I just hope no one gets severely burned like the ionic product did. Yes it is a major program. Seems like every day now customers are having problems with their Fitbit products. The company does not care about losing customers.
