My Versa stops giving me notifications every morning

Every morning I wake up and my notifications stop working and I have to restart the watch in order for them to start up again.  I saw someone posted a similar topic but it appears they have the version of Versa that allows you to pay with the watch.  I have a regular Versa (not lite) but it's not the premium version that allows pay from the watch.  It was previously suggested it had to do with the device lock, but it doesn't appear my device has a lock option to even mess with.  I look in my account settings and there is no device lock.

I've tried turning my notifications off and on again.  I've made sure the watch itself has everything enabled properly, which it does.  I've synced the watch up numerous times, but the only thing that gets notifications going again each morning is doing a restart to my watch.  Is there a way to fix this so that notifications don't stop every new morning?

@iamsharonf Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!

Let me help you with your Versa's notifications. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try refreshing the link between your phone and your Versa by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.

This is exactly what happened with my Versa. I did what the tech suggested and it didn't fix it. So when I recontacted support they told me to update my IOS, which I did and now it is worse, way worse. Now just rebooting my Versa every morning does not fix the problem. Now I have to open the app to get the time to sync, and I get some notifications but not all.

Hi, did have the same problem. My notifications stopped working after some two hours after a watch restart. Had to restart two to three times a day if I wanted to have my messages. I tried everything mentioned around here - reinstalling, disabling other BT devices, nothing worked. Having seen so many post with similar issues over the years and not being able to find a solution, I did the next best thing: I returned the watch to the shop while I still could. Just a little earlier today. They refunded me without discussion so it appeared to me that they're used to this... Hope you have better luck with your Versa.

Thank you.  I am using an iPhone 7 which should be compatible.  I did go over some steps with a tech yesterday, which included removing the device from bluetooth and then restarting the app and the watch and adding it back.  Notifications were fine all day but then again, this morning, no notifications once more.  I did not try restarting my phone itself as well, I can try that.  I will see if that helps this time around.  I won't know until morning hits again.
