My fitbit says I've taken 1800 steps, how can that be when I've been mostly in bed playing with my 2month old. The watch is super sensitive. Is there some sort of setting I can adjust so it's not so awnssensi to movements. It's my first day wearing it and already totally off.

I am also having problems with step counting on the Versa. I've had it for two days now and have given up on the jokey step counter.
Yesterday I had done 1400 steps before getting out of bed. I hadn't been sleep walking just watched 15 minutes of news on the tv before getting up.
My drive to work is about an hour on the motorway and both days the Versa has logged 1000 or so steps while driving.
This afternoon I spent an hour surfing the web on a tablet while sat in my parked car and it clocked up another 600 steps.
My LG Urbane with Android Wear OS2 never used to clock up any steps when I was in bed or when driving so it is possible.
Overall the daily steps recorded so far on my Versa are approximately double what was recorded by my LG.

My Versa worked fine for the first 6 days but now it counts steps while I sleep every time. I wake up with anywhere between 1500 and 3500 steps while sleeping. It also inaccurately analyzes my sleep. I do not want to have to go in and add a 'Driving' record every day to get a better count of steps and manually adjust my sleep times.
This is a bug that needs to be fixed properly, not with bandaids.

Just purchased the Versa yesterday. I got 100 steps while asleep and 450 while driving. I am very dissatisfied with this product. Even the pedometer McDonalds put in the happy meal is more accurate and it’s a few pennies from China.

Bought my Versa yesterday and I had clocked up over 3000 steps within 30 minutes this morning and all I did was get dressed, breakfast and packed my bag for work. Device is in my non dominant hand and is set for dominant. Step count is wildly inaccurate and I’m considering returning it.
Very disappointed.

I got my Versa last night. The moment I finished setting it up, it already recorded 1600 steps. Then, the step count went up and down from 100 plus steps to 300 plus steps although I did not wear and put on the table. Thinking to write to customer service to fix the problem.

Just got my Versa today and while my steps aren't as off as that, It did just count about 100 steps while sitting down having a conversation. I talk with my hands so I guess I have to be still now....

Hello! I have owned my Versa for a few days and if it did what was advised I would not be writing this review. I have owned the Fitbit Flex and loved it Until it began to be fazed out and no longer sanc with my phone or connected with the right time zone. I then bought the Misfit Shine ($40) which is a Great product. Loved it as it is water proof (associated with Speedo), light, did basic notifications and was Accurate. After consistant use I figured I would treat myself to the Versa upgrade as it advertised to do everything like the Shine and then some. Friends/family were excited that I re-joined the Fitbit community but now they think I'm cheating during the competitions because of the innacuracies. It's counting double for every step but does not count when I do my hula hoop exercise (moderate/intese activity). I've re-set it and changed my hand dominance to reduce sensitivity. I'm going to try a little longer but I am keeping my Versa box and receipt.

I'm on my 3rd day having my Versa and the past 2 nights I wake up with around 300 steps. Makes me think how many other added steps through the day is it giving me. If it says I've reached 10,000 is it really 5,000. Counting my steps is the biggest reason why I got the Versa so I'm kind of unhappy so far.

I left my fitbit on the charger all night and when I put it on this morning, I already had 4,000 steps. I've had my versa for a week now and the step count was accurate until I downloaded the recent update. It logs steps while I drive as well. So frustrating!

Once I got the software update and restarted it it seems to be doing better than before. I'm not sure how accurate it has been, but it is definitely an improvement.

The Fitbit Versa does not accurately track your steps, calories burned, miles walked, or stairways climbed. I tested the Versa against a pedometer for four days after it arrived on Monday, 11/26/18. The Versa increased my steps walked when I combed my hair by 200 or more steps and when I taught college classes, by hundreds of steps. It also greatly increased my steps when I walked to class with my rolling laptop bag. The movement of your wrist (not the expected swinging of your wrist while walking) greatly increases the amount of steps recorded. The calories counted feature does not work at all. It records your basal metabolic rate, so even breathing increases your calories burned. If you want an accurate estimate of how many calories you are burning while exercising, the Versa will greatly disappoint you. The Versa appeared to accurately record the time that I engaged in moderate exercise of greater than 10 minutes and when I walked greater than 15 minutes. It was advertised as only counting stairways climbed when going up the stairs. However, it missed counting stairways going up and sometimes counted stairways going down. It also counted as a stairway when I walked up an incline to reach my car in a parking lot. The most concerning aspect of the Versa is I started feeling a burning sensation on my wrist after wearing it for four days. I took it off when I combed my hair to avoid it counting extra steps and a few other times for the same reason, but for the most part wore it for most of the four days. By day four, I felt a burning sensation under the green LED light that reads your heart beat. That's when I sadly decided today to return the Versa before I received a skin burn like some other Versa reviewers noted on other review sites. The best things about this experience are it made me drink more water because I liked seeing the glasses fill up on the Versa watch and it gave me an incentive to exercise more because the Versa provided motivating feedback.
