My WEATHER APP not updating

For the past few days I cannot get the WEATHER to show. It tells me to "Sync the Fitbit mobile app to update" .  I sync it and nothing works. I have not been able to see the weather on my Versa for the past 5 or 6 days

Double check your phone to make sure it allows notifications to go to you Fitbit device

Notifications are allowed and everything is working OK except the weather app.

I have the same problem. Every once in a while I get it to sync but it also become unsynced throughout the day.

I had the same thing. I learned that whenever you leave your phone it stops working after 2 or 3 hours.

I understand the phone needed to be near to keep it synced.  The real issues is sometimes after I "Sync Now" it just wont sync. Then 10 minutes or so later the weather is synced. Then other times it just won't sync at all. It very unreliable.

I couldn't update the cities for the weather app. I had to delete the app on my phone and reinstall it. That took care of the problem.

Can you now sync the weather app w/o a problem?

@margiescuties@DKab@MLA5 if your weather app is not updating it means there's a syncing issue. Does your versa sync with your phone without problem? Do stats get updated (steps, calories etc.)? Do you get your notifications without issues (e.g. text messages, calls etc.)? Can you see your heart rate in real time when the versa is connected and Fitbit mobile open? Make sure Always Connected and All Day Sync options in the Fitbit mobile app are selected. Also enabling Keep Alive widget helps.

Yes my sync seems to work w/o any issue. Can you tell me

more about the Keep Alive Widgets? I’m not familiar w them.

@DKab Open your Fitbit mobile app and tap on Versa icon in the top right corner. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Make sure Always Connected and keep alive widget are turned on. This will put a permanent notification widget in your notification bar and should improve background sync. Also try going to the settings of the Weather app (in the Fitbit mobile app, click on Versa, then Apps, then scroll to Weather app and tap on the settings cog) and removing all the cities and leaving only Current location. Force sync.

I just realize why your instructions don't make sense. I have a Charge 3.

@DKab hah 😊 The first part should still apply (widget etc.). I do not know how weather app looks like on Charge 3, but if it's a standalone app that one can install on Charge 3, then you should be able to access the weather app settings from within Fitbit mobile app.
