I started with Fitbit charge, which worked well and lasted about 2 years. I thought I was upgrading and purchased a Blaze in 2018, it lasted 9 months, at which point I was sent a replacement, which lasted 3 months. I lucked out that the replacement broke just a few days shy of the 1 yr. warranty period. I thought I was doing the smart thing and decided to upgrade to a Versa in 2019., which broke at 9 months again. A replacement was sent, which again only lasted 8 months before it started malfunctioning and of course now there's no warranty, and I'm out of luck. What a waste of money! You'd think at least the replacements would be under warranty for a year.

Hi @Nightnrz if every replacement had a one year warranty, what would stop someone from asking for another replacement yearly? Warranty information is quite specific on the time period - click to read. Not everyone has problems. I have had several Fitbit styles over the years and so have other people, without many issues. Telling people to avoid Fitbit isn't the answer because many of us are quite content with our products. Sorry you've had problems.

@Odyssey13 Besides that, what company starts your warranty over with a replacement? I'm not aware of any. Warranty goes by purchase date. Although Fitbit does give you I think 90 days if you got a replacement at the end of your warranty?

Your replacement is under warranty for the remainder of the original warranty or for 3 months. Which ever is the later date.

You make a good point, I forget people's tendency to play the system. I'm not mad at Fitbit altogether, Blaze/Versa did me dirty... just had bigger expectations for the more expensive models, which you'd think would be better quality. Unfortunately the negative feedback from people I know was received after the fact. I'm glad your products have worked well. I also see from the other posts that replacements do have a 3 month warranty, so that's better than nothing.

I had a similar experience as you:
I bought a Charge 2 back in 2018 and it was a stellar little device. Did everything I wanted and it's still working like a champ to this day.
Fool me thought that since Fitbit made such great devices, I would upgrade to a Versa Lite. It was an alright improvement until it failed in less than a year. Fitbit sent me a refurbished replacement (full of scratches) but even after all that I wasn't too mad and I justified all of it as bad luck.
By then the Versa 2 was announced and I bought it (who makes the same mistake twice? This guy), it failed on me last month, also under warranty, but this time Fitbit support has been the most ridiculous one I've ever experienced. I have no refund, no replacement, no return label. Nothing.
I did the only sane thing and switched brands to Garmin.

Hope you don't have any of the many, battery, charging, accuracy, band issues, can't read outside, etc, Garmin issues that are mentioned all over the web.
Let's remember that for both companies, these issues only affect a very small percentage.
