My experience with Fitbit Versa 2 and the Customer Service

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I cannot use my versa 2 for what I bought it for. Tracking exercise, heart rate and GPS distance. I do not receive messages anymore and the screen is completely not responding.

This watch is only 1 1/2 yrs old. I paid close to 300$. It should still be functional.  I've contacted fitbit several times and they can't do anything.  Really!!!!! And offer only 35% discount on new. Unacceptable!!! Why would I buy fitbit again if it doesn't last!!

Will there be an update to correct these issues?  This sucks!!!!

Hi there, @Angiedel. Welcome to the Community Forums. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services.

Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.

For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.

I have a Versa 2 - yesterday the screen went black ( this is only 4 months old ! )

I called Fitbit support - it was like talking to Apple - everything off a script , factory reset ect….. long story short - it’s under warranty, but instead , let’s get it working for a bit and then call us back ? I am thinking the same - maybe Garmin !

Same thing my Versa was also only about 1 1/2 old. Thinking next purchase will be a Garmin.

My reply was deleted, so let's try again! My experience: 3 FitBit's (one Aria and two Versa Lites) all broke, only will do anything if it's less than a year, if not they will offer you a coupon with a discount. Their customer service (based in South America nothing in the US) is crap, don't care, don't try to help, and now moderators delete posts that they don't like. Thinking of switching to Apple or Garmin like some other commenters have mentioned.

Yes since fitbit doesn't waranty their products for very long, or even repair them at no charge.
Bad customer service!

I do not want to “ factory reset” a fitness tracker that’s only 4 months old . Thanks so much, Donna
