I've been using Fitbit devices for 9 years always upgrading and have had no problems until recently. My versa 2 wouldn't sync so after spending hours exhausting every suggestion I attempted a factory reset. Now it won't even connect to set up, this is a device I've been wearing for a year and a half, same phone no change anywhere.
I contacted tech support who were hopeless, honestly the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. As I'm out of warranty I'm left with nothing but 30% off my next Fitbit purchase. Unfortunately after 9 years and hundreds of pounds my days with Fitbit are sadly over. I won't take the risk again.

Hi there, @lnel. Welcome to the Community Forums. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.
Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.
For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.

@MarreFitbit I would say that Inel doesn’t as much questions Fitbit’s out of warranty procedures as the fact that after a year and half it should not be the norm to expect the device just go dead! It’s a shameful and wasteful tactic from Fitbit and we as a customers should not be encouraged to just drop the one and half year old watch to the landfill and pay for the new one. How is that justifying all the materials that had gone into the production of the smart watch and the rechargeable batteries???
