My experience with Fitbit Versa 3 and the Customer Service

A few days ago, My Fitbit Versa 3 started acting up.  The watch is constantly re-starting on it's own.  And then once it has re-started, the screen is non-responsive so I can't even do a factory re-set.  I have tried everything.  After reading on-line forums, it seems to have to do with Fitbit's update.  My Fitbit is only about 15 months old and this is already my second one.  The first one had button issues.  The button was non responsive.  Anyone else having issues?  Is there a fix.  Fitbit is offering a discount on the purchase of another one but I am leary purchasing another since this would the 3rd one in less than 16 months.  HELP

Hi there, @Bucko90210. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.

Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.

For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.

If you have any further questions or concerns regarding the outcome of your case, please feel free to reach out to our Support Team once again so they can clarify any doubt.

Thanks for your understanding.

Herein lies the problem.  I understand it is outside the warranty period.  BUT, had Fitbit done a better job ensuring that the update not cause issues with its devices, I would not have this issue.  It is an issue CAUSED by Fitbit and not my device.  I will take a few days to research which brand I continue with.  But I thank you for your reply.  Very frustrating.

That’s exactly what I’m doing at the moment …..Fitbit are a terrible organisation and I’ll never buy another one their products and I’ll advise everyone to stay away from the brand .
