My experience with Fitbit Versa 3 and the Customer Service

Purchased my Versa 3 end of April 2021.  Last month it stopped working after going for a short swim in a pool; I'm not able to scroll to my apps.  Is it not supposed to be good to 50 ft?

I contacted costumer support and because my warranty expired last month, the best they can do is give me a 35% discount on a new purchase.

Frustrated that the watch stopped working after barely a year and that they could not replace it.

I like the VERSA 3 but not sure if I should spend the money to replace it, as I am  afraid that I will need to do it again next year.

Hi there, @ByJoe. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.

Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.

For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty or please feel free to contact our team back so they can clarify any doubt.

I was ready to give FITBIT another chance,  so I tried to use the discount to purchase a SENSE, BUT my discount did nothing since the product was on sale. Sadly, I can’t use the discount you so generously gave which leaves me a frustrated customer.

Unfortunately you will be loosing a Fitbit customer as it seems a number of users of the same watch have the same issue and all you can offer is a discount on the retail price.  It would be nice to use the discount on any Fitbit item regardless of any sales offers.

Frustrated and disappointed.
