Hi,
Like all things I love, I took great care of it. Maybe too good because after exposing my Versa Lite to pool water for the first time, it shut down for good. 3 seconds under water, then took it off right after. Never even took a shower with it.
Thanks to the forums I smothered it in rice. It’s been 3 days and still nothing. Then tried to recharge but the piece gets hot with no signs of life?
Reached out to Fitbit but after giving me hope by saying that is not suppose to happen, even if I was 2 months over the 1 year warranty, so I was feeling good about having a replacement and sticking with fitbit, eventually getting my whole family watched up as I’ve been loving mine…but then I get the email that they were happy to offer 35% off my next purchase , but excluding any sale. So being a sale chaser, this offer is very ordinary, or as good as any big sale. Feels like manipulation : we tell you going 50M deep in water is fine, but if you do so after 12 months; well we are not in a position to back up our features of functionality, even for times of obvious malfunction.
Very disappointing. My advice: Jump in a pool no later than day 364; if not well I hope you saved up!
…Unless I missed on other advice on how to quick fix or get better customer service?!
Thanks

Hi there, @JoVi0811. Welcome to the Community Forums. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.
Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.
For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.
If you have any further questions regarding the outcome of your case, please feel free to contact our team back so they can continue assisting you.
Thanks for your understanding. Have a good day!

Thanks for the reply! A discount when warranty is expired is definitely better than nothing, I am well aware of that. Its just strange that they sell the 50M waterproof spec which for me is important; by reading several messages with similar it seems like an obvious overstatement…
