My fitbit Versa clocked up 61,000 steps even though I only did about 16,000.

My fitbit clocked up 61,000 steps even though I only did about 16,000. Whilst on a Hike I wanted to see route so I set-up for route on the app. and it added 50,000steps.  Not sure why but it certainly made us all laugh.  

 

Has this happened to anyone else?

 

Also, my Versa keeps stopping in the middle of an exercise, i.e. walk or Hike.

I thought maybe I had accidentally touch the screen, but it seems that I'm not alone with this problem.
