My fitbit is set for no notifications while sleeping but doesn't start sending again when i wake

I have to restart it to get it to start sending notifications again.  This just started happening a few days ago.

Hi, just to be sure: press the left button for 2-3 secs and the activity screen opens and check whether there notifications are enabled also.

I have checked. And I’ve tried turning it off and back on.
