Generally with a dual band router you will see to wifi networks.

This is what mine looks like.

i simply told my Fitbit to connect to the -2.4 network.

My computer is attached to the-5.

The -EXT extension  router doesnot have 5, but is needed to get the coverage I need.

Since all three of these are on the same home network we can consider them as one network.

I would for ease have the phone connect to the 2.4 while setting up the wifi on the Fitbit. Once the tracker has been setup the phone can be switched back to the 5 gig.

Then when the Versa is plugged in to charge it should try and connect to the 2.4.

Some people like to disable the 2.4 on their dual band router and this would be a problem.

A few things to check:

Is Fitbit comoatcompwi h your router settings?

Is the tracker plugged in and charging?

Is the phone connected to the wifi?

Do you get any error messages? If so please pass them on.

Is the wifi password correct?

yes to all of your questions except the first how do I check my router settings? Also the error message that pops up when trying to connect via fitbit app on my iphone is, "This wifi network is not available, please try a different network". This is confusing because all my other devices are connected fine I cant figure it out still.

try using your phone as a hot spot and connect to that. I had problems connecting to a dual band router as the versa uses 2.4 mhz. only and my router uses 2.4mhz. and 5mhz.

It may help, it helped me when I couldn't download from pandora. It kept saying network not available.
