This happens 8 out of 10 times. I a restart i don't get the fitbit logo but instead a set of vertical blue bands that go all the way up and down the display. Its getting frustrating pushing the button 10 times in a row and not seeing the time. Any idea how to fix this

That sounds really annoying and frustrating! I would try a factory reset (settings app on the watch and scroll down to about). I kind of doubt it will fix it, but you never know! Other than that you will need to contact Support (link in my signature). Let us know how you go

I worked with support on DM for a bit and they are now sending a replacement.
Support was helpful but could not fix.
