My watch has a mind of its own

My versa intermittently acts up--pressing buttons and causing an apparent disabling of the buttons (especially the left one). When doing this it also vibrates and as you can see here "clicks" the top right button going into the run mode. This is quite annoying as it: vibrates and turns on randomly and successively (always at the best times of course when it's most distracting), it also doesn't allow me to even see the time--the primary purpose of a watch.

It definitely seems like a software glitch though because I'm able to trigger a reset by holding the left and bottom right buttons together. When doing so, the problem goes away for a little while until it comes right back, usually within a day. Had a fun time getting this video down to the size & formatting constraints of this website:

I've tried some other things on the forms, including the reset which I mentioned solves it for some time; but have yet to find a permanent solution.

I've had this watch since August--only 4 months.. this problem started a few weeks ago.

@u8sand have you tried factory reset? Which Versa firmware version are you on? The factory reset will update you to .19/24 so this could potentially resolve the issue. If it's software related that is.

I haven't had a chance to try a full factory reset, but I'll try it tonight and get back. My current firmware is 32.32.10.15

@u8sand Factory reset will bump it to .19/24 (those are the same). Let's hope it helps. Remember to remove Versa from your account (in the Fitbit mobile app) and from the Paired Devices list in your phone Bluetooth settings, and rebooting your phone prior to reset.

Just finished the factory reset, I'll post an update in the next few days whether or not the issue returns.

Unfortunately, this morning none of the buttons wanted to respond, nevertheless I was able to reset it by holding the left and bottom right buttons until the Fit bit icon came on. After this, the left and bottom right buttons would respond but not the top right. I fear this will be a recurring condition.. No sign yet of the uncontrollable pressing though, just unresponsive buttons.

Unrelated note, the forums don't let me submit my post with the proper name of fit bit because it's not recognized by my dictionary...

--- EDIT ---

I few minutes after posting this, the exact same issue has stuck again.

The version is: 32.32.12.19
