My wife's Versa 2 is not recording her walks properly

Hi. I've come across something rather strange. My wife and I have identical Versa 2s, and every day we set off for our lockdown walk. Every time, my Versa records an accurate time, but hers is usually off by as much as 50%. Consequently, her fat burn etc stats are way off.

Today I recorded a time of 41 minutes. She got two separate walks of 10 and 18 mins respectively. Yet we were together at all times.

Any ideas, folks?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Ryohei56.

Thank you for the information provided.

I would recommend restarting her Fitbit Versa 2 by following these instructions. In addition, please make sure she has the latest firmware version (72.1.9) and the latest Fitbit app version (iOS 3.37 or Android 3.36).

To see the current firmware version, please visit this article, open the menu "How do I find the version number for my Fitbit device?" and follow the instructions.

For instructions on how to see her Fitbit app version, please visit this site and scroll down to the section "How do I update the Fitbit app?".

Hi, thanks for your response.  Version numbers checked out ok so I carried out the restart procedure you suggested. I then made sure the settings on my wife's Fitbit mirrored exactly the settings on mine (as mine seems perfectly ok). We went on our daily walks together on Saturday and yesterday, and in both cases her walks started at the same time but she recorder ten minutes less on both occasions. We'll try again today, then I guess I'll have to think about getting it sent back.

Hello, I am having exactly the same problem. Both myself and my wife have identical Fitbits yet my walks are registering 1 to 2 km further than hers

I chatted to Fitbit yesterday and they said it was my phone GPS and there was nothing else they could do

despite doing various checks and processes of elimination and other apps like what three words and the fact I have a brand-new iPhone 12.2 Fitbit the app on the watch and certainly not my phone and it’s GPS signal

It used to be perfectly fine but I think it’s changed due to a recent update

Outstanding response from Fitbit! I might even consider it a valid argument
- if my wife had not in fact left her phone at home on several occasions
when her Fitbit recorded duff info.
