Best options?
I have had my Versa for at least 6 years now, but better dies in less than 18 hours, and it often needs a reboot. I don’t use any extras, it is just a wonderful fitness tracker for me. I use an outdated iPad mini 2 and realize I may need to switch to my iPhone to set any new item up😢

@Bluey60   This will come as a bit if a surprise, but the Versa 4 has fewer options than your Versa.  It doesn't have any type of music control and you can't add any third party apps.  But you can customize screens, similar to your Versa.  The other basic tracker is the Inspire 3.  It doesn't count floors and you can't customize any screens.  You can compare them side by side in the Fitbit Store.

According to my search, your iPad mini 2 maxed out at iOS 12.5.7.  It sounds like you sync to your account with your iPhone, then look at your dashboard on your iPad.  You should think about getting a new iPad, because it is past its Apple end of life and is no longer supported.
