I added the Nest app to my new fitbit versa and it will not allow me to control my thermostats, it says that I am "not the owner of any thermostats that I can control". While my husband is the "owner" of our nest products, I have my own access and have no problems using the app on my phone. Does this mean I can't use the app on fitbit since I am not the "owner" of the account?

@AshleyNMM Welcome to the Fitbit Community!
Thanks for reaching out to Nest for answers on this. I can confirm that we currently don’t support family accounts and that only the account owner can make changes at this time. Hope this clarifies everything for you! Let me know if I can help you out with anything else.

This is what Nest Support said:
While we here at Nest unfortunately do not know how the Fitbit handles our information and abilities, as the product uses our software to run with itself and not vice-versa, I believe that the reasoning for you not being able to control the Thermostat from your Fitbit might be due to the fact that you are a member rather than an owner. While you are able to control the Thermostat from your Nest App as a Member, the FitBit might only be allowing you to control the Thermostat from Owner privileges, I would highly recommend contacting FitBit themselves to learn more about how they've integrated Nest into their device and if the function you're looking for is something that the Fitbit is capable of from a Member account.

Hi, I have the same problem, pretty pointless if only one person in the house can use it, when will family functionality be integrated?

Hi, maybe in the next update, not sooner, alas.

@Charliemartin7 @AshleyNMM I linked my Versa Nest app with Nest owners credentials for that reason. This action is required only once. You will be able to control your thermostats then.
