Hi, I'm at the point of returning this watch. Looks good, feels good, but can't get it to setup or software update stage, so really frustrated.
Upgrading from a charge 2. Unpaired old devices from the app. Unpaired all my Bluetooth devices, reset the watch multiple times. Tried different devices (galaxy phone & Lenovo tablet), but all seem to connect to the watch initially and then lose connection when the setup or software update begins.
Any suggestions?

Hi CRUSTIAN I'm understanding the issue that you are facing I'vr also faced the same issue. So follow my steps:-
1. RESTART the FITBIT by holding BACK button(left) and LOWER RIGHT button at a time till FITBIT logo appears and then just leave it.
2. LOGOUT of FITBIT app then restart BLUETOOTH then again LOGIN into FITBIT app then SYNC your tracker.
3. OPEN FITBIT app the get into your BAND'S PAGE scroll down and you will see 'WIFI SETTINGS: Setup Wi-Fi'.
4. CLICK on it and then connect your VERSA to your WIFI NETWORK.
5. Now Proceed with normal upgradation steps.
Hope that this will help... reply me if it didn't get fixed.

Thanks, but no good. It seems to start to sync and then the Versa disconnects. I've tried different WiFi routers, update via Bluetooth, but all lose connection.
Tbh, I'm starting to think the Versa is just faulty. I bought two, one for my wife, which is fine. Mine watch is just not working...☹️
Thinking, I might have to return it. Very frustrating though.

Now I suggest you to use a WINDOWS10,MAC laptop, install FITBIT app in it via store and proceed further with suggested steps.

SOLVED:
Took some hours, but I managed to update via bluetooth. Watch is working (very nice too), but the Fitbit coach app hasn't fully updated, so I'm still working on that one.

No good my friend. I installed the app on my win10 pc, but it needed a Bluetooth connection. I then installed the Fitbit Bluetooth dongle (which is not supplied with the Versa) and yet again, the watch won't connect.
I solved the main problem by updating my watch using the Bluetooth connection to my phone (set my phone as a wifi hotspot), which took hours. The Fitbit Coach is the only app that hasn't and won't update on the watch.
Guess my versa is a bit temperamental.
