I have a Fit Bit Versa 3 and wear it 24/7. Last Wednesday morning when returning home from work at 8am, my blood pressure machine detected an abnormal pulse. I frequently have palpitations but on this morning the palpitations were not typical for me. I checked my resting pulse on my FitBit and found that instead of being in my usual range of 50-60’s, my heart rate was well over 100 starting at 1am. I called my MD, went into the office and was found to be in rapid Afib. I showed him my Fitbit readings, I was started on anticoagulation and cardioverted the next morning. If it wasn’t for my Fitbit, I would not have been sure of the onset of the Afib which could have resulted in a different outcome! I am a health care provider and will now be a proponent of smart watches not only for fitness but for for health monitoring! Fitbit saved my life!!!! THANK YOU💓😊

Hi @nanciej thanks for sharing that with the community. It's important for us to get with our health care professionals when we notice something's not quite right. Glad you didn't decide to wait before contacting your doctor. Hope the medication is helping you and that you stay safe on the front lines.
