New Versa 2 Watch - Heart rate tracking during exercise innacurate.

Brand new Versa 2 (received Dec 30). The heart rate tracking seemed to work fine the first day I exercised on an elliptical last week. The next day a Firmware Update was made.
Now I get intermittent heart rate tracking, or the recorded heart rate never gets rises above 95 bpm, which could not possibly be accurate. Fitbit Support has told me to wear the Versa band 2 fingers above wristband, and then they said 3 fingers. Tried both. Still not working.
I had a Charge 3 previously, and never encountered any heart rate tracking problems. Always worked.
Anyone else having a similar problem?

Exact same issue. I had a Charge 3 that i never had any heart rate issues with. I got a Versa 2 less than a week ago, it was working fine until the update and since then the heart rate zones seem to have increased so fat burn zone is not even reached even when walking/ exercising. Comparing data today to a week ago, with similar steps and heart rate, today according to the fitbit i’ve burned 47 calories compared to 627 before the update. I was told to reset the fitbit, and reset the heart rate settings on the fitbit and sync it. It has made no difference.

Hey Patrick. When exactly was the update? Mine mysteriously stopped working as well. It doesn't track my sleep or heart rate anymore. The little green light on the back won't stay on. I have reset it numerous times.

I had the Versa Watch for one day, December 31, and the data on that day was fine. The next day (Jan. 1) there was a Firmware update to 35.72.1.15. Since then the watch doesn't record accurate heart rate data while exercising.

Yeah this seems to be an issue to alot of people judging from other forum posts. Not sure if Fitbit has a work around. I've had mine for over a year and maybe checking out the Amazon Halo if I can't get it to work. Sorry you just got yours and its not working already. Pleas post anything customer service relays to you about it.
