New Versa 2, no vibrating or texts

I just opened my versa 2 from best buy this afternoon. It receives phone calls, but wont vibrate. It doesnt receive texts either. I'm using a samsung s10+. I've tried resetting bluetooth, the notification settings, restarting my phone, etc. Everything there is to do. Anyone have any ideas? 200$ is a lot of money for it not to work!

scratch the vibrating issue. I fixed that. Had it on sleep mode. Oops. I can send a text from a missed call screen, but still cant receive.
