I just got it as a gift yesterday and have tried setting it up since. No success. Its just stuck at the display logo screen. I can hard reset it but it'll just get stuck again. Sometimes it resets by itself a few times in a row after a hard reset, but it'll still just get stuck.

Tried while connected and charging and while disconnected.

Tried to set up in the app but cant find it over bluetooth.

Just looks like this, no matter what i do. Incredibly frustrating

@Nampo Thanks for getting back and those extra details.

As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset by following the steps below:

  1. Don’t plug the Fitbit device into the charging cable.
  2. Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off.
  3. After the screen turns off, you’ll feel a short vibration:
    1. When you feel the vibration, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
    2. Wait until the blue logo appears, then disappears:
      1. Immediately release the button and then immediately press and hold it .again, until you feel a vibration.
      2. After you feel the vibration, release the button.
        • This vibration indicates you started the factory reset.
        • After the Fitbit logo appears, the Fitbit device shows the image with the phone icon and setup indicator.

Now please proceed to set up your Versa 3

Let me know how it goes.

Hi there, @Nampo. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your new Versa 3 is stuck on the Fitbit logo. Thanks for your time in trying to troubleshoot this issue before reaching out, I understand why you're feeling frustrated. I'll do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, may I know if the Versa 3 belonged to someone else? Has someone else gifted it to you? If so, probably the issue is that the Versa 3 is still paired to the other person's phone Bluetooth. If this describes your issue, please try removing the Versa 3 from the phone's Bluetooth settings and proceed to do the set up process again with your phone and the Fitbit app.

If the issue persists, please confirm that you've also tried all steps provided here Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Let me know if this helps.

Hello!

It was sold at a discount as never used with opened packaging. But based on what you say it may have been used and not been factory reset. Is there any way to factory reset it without being able to access it? Or how would i remove the pairing without having access to the paired device?

I have tried following the steps for ten times or so now but the phone icon never pops up. It always returns to the bootup screen with the fitbit logo. It keeps turning on and off a few times by itself after but never displays a phone.

it says UK CA on the back if it makes any difference. When googling for solutions i saw there were versions without those letters on the back.

Ey marrefitbit, i tried the hard reset thing a few more times and finally it worked! It must have been a bit difficult to get the timing on the presses etc right. So if anyone else has this problem, just keep at it and try until you succeed!

Cheers and thanks for your help!
