Hi there, @John9858-. Welcome to the forums. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

Please note this issue comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed (or making sure you've done them as instructed):

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

If you can't get started with your Versa 3, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I've tried everything you've told me nothing works all that happens is the logo blinks so I guess it is nothing more than a paperweight since I can't get any support

MarreFitbit,

Please explain why mine started doing the same thing on Wednesday, I bought mine brand new less than 6 months ago because the last one I had the screen went out. I have deleted all data and uninstalled the app the Fitbit keeps flashing the symbol and every once in a while flashes a red X to delete data and resync which I am unable to do. Fitbits are expensive disposable watches.

This is a FitBit problem! Is the company going to own it?

After trying to get it to work for three days it finally started to work again. I feel Fitbit did something on their end, a update finally came through.

I just kept trying, I would delete the app remove it from my Bluetooth shut my phone off and start over. One time I got all the way to the end of the set up and it failed to sync so I had to start over, that time I was able to at least get to the factory reset on the Fitbit and when I started over it told me to put it on the charger even though it was at 98% but that's when I finally got it to work.
