New Versa not tracking sleep stages.

I’ve had a Blaze for 2 years (which no longer syncs since I got the Versa), and my new Versa is syncing but seems to have difficulties with my HR. It shows my hr during runs as lower than before. More importantly, of the 5 days I’ve had it, it’s only recorded sleep stages for 2.

Any suggestions before I return it and get an Apple Watch?

Thanks!

Erich

It's nice to see you back @Erich777. I'll be happy to assist you with your Versa inquiry.

You can check help article How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device? to improve your heart rate log accuracy.

There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi Andrea,

I am having the same issue with my VERSA 2 which was updated to the latest firmware as soon as I took it out of the box on February 18th this year.

I always activated the "begin sleep now" from the phone app since day 1.

Out of 23 days, I could see the sleep stages only for 8 days and I get some incredibly high number of awakenings only in those 8 days when the stages are available, like 22 to 45 awakenings per night.

When the stages are not available, awakenings are from 0 to 2 which is the reality. For the last 7 days, I could not get any info about sleeping stages, although I tried to move the tracker on the arm, have it tighter, or looser, clean it carefully and reboot it too.

Could you please help?
