Hello,
My Versa has been having issues lately. The battery used to last 4 days, then suddenly it was 3 days, then 2 and now it barely lasts a day (this decline happened in the span of a few weeks). It also now seems wildly inaccurate with calorie and heartrate tracking. I've always known that Fitbit overestimates calories burned, but it's getting so over the top I can't even use it as a general guide any longer. For example, I just did an hour long bodyweight workout, with virtually no cardio bursts. It said I burned almost 600 calories! And that my peak heartrate was over 200bpm, even when I barely felt out of breath and when I felt my pulse with my finger, it certainly wasn't racing. For reference, my RHR is usually in the mid to low 50s, and my "peak" has almost always been around 160, but I virtually never reach that unless I'm hiking a mountain on a hot day. For an hour long workout of the type I normally do, reaching 400 calories burned is usually an achievement and only happens when I'm really pushing it.
I realise mine is an older model, but it was purchased brand new barely 2 years ago. Is the battery issue and inaccuracy something that can be fixed, or does this mean that it has reached the end of its life cycle and needs to be tossed?
I appreciate any help. Thanks.
