Just did the update to the 7.14 version and was not receiving notifications so I shut down and now I can not get it to restart. I have talked to Cost. Service and they were not much help. My battery was at 50% and now wont charge, turn on or anything. Have tried holding the buttons etc etc. I have checked my charger using someone else's versa. I have only owned the watch for 1.5 years and cost. serv. says there is nothing they can do but offer a small amount off a new watch (why would I spend any more money on a watch that does not last!!). It seems the issue has something to do with update as others have had issues...Has anyone had any luck with them? Can they factory reset yet to see if this would work?

Hi @Nemers your posts were merged, as cross posting is discouraged. This seems more of a Versa issue than an Android or iOS one, so your post is now in the Versa area for you to get more relevant responses.

If it's a first-gen Versa (like mine) hold the left and bottom right buttons for 20 seconds or so to reboot it. It worked for me. If it doesn't work for you please let me know anyway. I wrote the following in the firmware update thread where the response from Fitbit has been non-existent. I quote "What I think is happening is that the watch isn't shutting down properly when it's turned off, which is why the battery still drains. It then can't be turned back on with a single press of the left button as it isn't turned off. Pressing and holding the left and right lower button reboots it."

Yes, I tried that...held for minutes, nothing. Tried all 3 buttons as someone posted they did it for 3 minutes and it worked and still nothing.

Yah, They offered a small discount on a new one...But not going to spend another $300 when their product does not last.

Further to the above, this may be Tl;Dr but in case it helps anyone else, I've just tried again (twice so it's repeatable for me) to turn the watch off, and then start it back up. The shutdown option I used was the one from Settings/About right at the bottom.
The display went blank so looked like it was turned off. The only thing that turned it back on even after a few minutes was a long hold of the left and bottom right button, followed a bit later by the usual left button tap.
What I think is happening is that it isn't completely shutting down and powering off and is therefore still using the battery. Left like that it may then (my guess) not shut itself down with enough power to turn back on if the battery goes dead completely.
What this means (again, my guess only) is that if you leave it in that state before rebooting with the 2 button press and hold it won't have enough power to see the button presses. This isn't something I'm going to try.
Hopefully, if yours was at 50% a couple of hours ago it'll start back up but be warned! Until Fitbit confirms the problem don't assume it's turned off.

It is off...no lights, wont charge (made sure the charger is working). I used the shutoff option and then went to start it up about 1 min later and nothing happened. Cost. service says there was nothing they could do...This happened about 2 min after it did the latest update...

Was at about 7 I did the update...turned it off shortly after (maybe 5 min) after the update. so about 4.5 hours ago.

It's only just gone 7pm here.
I went through what you describe, except I tried the reboot after a few minutes, not 4.5 hours. It sucks that this happens, and I'm hoping fitbit will address it as I think, at the moment my watch is a time-bomb that will brick if I leave it shut down.
Not sure what to suggest. With my previous Ionic I would try connecting the charger and pressing buttons (ionic have a magnetic fly-lead) but that ain't going to easily work for the Versa..
If it was me, (and i'm not suggesting it's going to work as I've not tried it) I'd try to get some sort of power to it (ie. charging it) with the 2 buttons pressed in (Left and bottom right) but obviously you will have to get creative with that suggestion with maybe a bit of rolled-up paper sandwiched between the buttons and charge cradle.

FWIW, I've just shut my versa off at 20:18 with 97% charge and we'll see what the charge is at in half an hour or so.
Update: Yeah, as predicted 30 minutes later it still needed a 2 finger salute, and it still claims 95%. I bet it goes down quicker than before until next charge.
Update 2: Not going to update this thread again as I've taken it off-topic. Hope the OP gets a result. I will pursue the problem I have (which I still think is the same underlying problem).
