No Alexa in the Netherlands on versa 2?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought the versa 2 for the fitbit pay and Alexa functionality only to find out that the Alexa function doesn't work in the Netherlands. There is an instruction in Dutch on how to activate Alexa, but after trying for 3 hours I gave up and called the service desk in the Netherlands. Their they told me that there is no Alexa support for the Netherlands. This is really annoying as it was one of the reasons I chose this watch over others.

Hi @Jaytoodeetoo , have patience. Fitbit is rolling out Alexa slowly so the Netherlands will be supported in some time. Keep a close eye on this site: https://www.fitbit.com/voice. At the bottom of this site you will see the countries that have support for Alexa. Regards kuzibri

Hello @Jaytoodeetoo and a warm welcome.  A few other users have said that they have been able to set up Alexa by saying they were in the US.  I don't know the details of this kind of set up as I am in the US.  I have asked users for feedback, especially for questions like the weather, reminders (time zone issues) and things like that.

That said, I had Alexa set up and removed it.  Alexa does use Bluetooth on your phone to process a request.  Even when I didn't use Alexa, my phone battery went through 75% of its charge in about 8 hours.  It's back to normal with Alexa disconnected.
