No Device found-won’t connect to wifi

I’ve had my Versa since March and just the past few weeks it has been lagging on the time, not connecting to WiFi and not syncing. It randomly cuts off my workouts and doesn’t light up when I look at it anymore. I have to press a button to see the screen. At this point I’m not sure why I’m wearing it anymore. Please help!

@Kmomseig Sorry to hear about your Versa misbehaving. Which Versa model is it? Also, what's your phone model, OS and Fitbit app version. The sync happens via bluetooth not wifi. Personally I find Wifi causes syncing issues, so after loading my music (or performing Versa's firmware update), I always remove WIFI from Versa (in the fitbit app). Have you tried a regular reboot? You can see the instructions here. When was the last successful sync? You can find this information in your fitbit app after taping on Versa icon and scrolling down to Sync section.

Re screen not lighting up, please long press the left button (for Versa and Versa SE models) to open quick menu and make sure the Screen Wake is set to Auto/ON. This should light up the clockface each time you lift up your arm to check the time.

I'm having the exact same problems - just started yesterday - won't pair with ANY device (iPad or iPhone); won't synch then (of course), it's losing time. I have a Versa that is about 9 months old - far too short of a time and far too much money to be garbage already. It's also very curious the problems started with the recent update. I'm seeing MANY people with the same issues.

Oh, and before anyone sends me to the steps to try - been there, done that a dozen times now. It doesn't help.

It’s a Versa model 33.1.30. I’ve only had it 6

months. I have an iPhone Xr. I’ve tried to reboot my phone, app, and watch. I can sit and refresh while my watch is on the charger but it takes at least 10-15 minutes or longer (if it even works) for it to sync. Last sync was yesterday morning after refreshing for 20 minutes. I’m also not getting any notifications.

My screen wake is set to on.

@Kmomseig sorry for my late reply. I jotted the reply while waiting for my flight as I'm enjoying my vacay. If you're running iOS 13 (I hope not as it introduced many bugs including credit card leaks), there's known Bluetooth issue impacting notifications and sync as apple has introduced yet another changes. Those will be addressed with Fitbit app update. If you're still on older iOS version, try the following procedure. You may have to attempt it several times. It is beyond me one sometimes it works the first time around , others need to perform it numerous times. 🤷

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install Fitbit mobile app
  4. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons (for Versa and Versa SE) until Fitbit logo flashes
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions incl pairing
  7. Make sure Fitbit Notifications are enabled in your phone Settings. If they are switch them off, sync, switch them back ON, and sync again.
