I am set up (boy I wish they shipped this with the Large band on instead of the small one). I used my phone (I just got) but it would be nice to use the Windows 10 dashboard off the windows 10 app?
Also figured out how to set an alarm... Thanks

The Windows 10 APP on my laptop does not include a Versa 2 option the regular Versa won't find the Versa 2. Need to update and add it to the APP.

Quoting from How do I set up my Fitbit device?
*You can't set up Versa 2 on a Windows 10 device. Use a compatible iPhone, iPad, or Android phone.

For now, when you ask some help to install personal music, the answer is ''use the Windows 10 app''.
When you don't find the Versa 2 into the app, the answer is ''You can't use a computer to setup the Versa 2, you have to use your android phone (or iphone etc)''.
When you ask how to install your music using your phone, the answer is ''You have to use a computer for that''
As you see, we turn around 🙂 I think for now we have to be patient. Versa 2 is new and surely a good product that software is not ready yet...
(sorry for my english)

I have had my Versa 2 for three days, so that makes me a big expert. Ha, ha. JohnnyRow and Odyssey 13 were a help to me, especially JohnnyRow. I finally got it activated after too many attempts just to download the Fitbit app to my phone.
Here is good news I learned during all that: Once my new Versa 2 syncs to my phone, THEN the stats show up on my computer screen. This is huge for me. I like a real keyboard. I do not know how or why my phone is able to communicate with my Windows 7 computer, but it does!
It has occurred to me that this may work only if you had a prior Fitbit synced on your Windows 10 computer. I had used Fitbit on my computer for six years.
Now, if I could only put steps back in the big circle on my phone. Floors has the center place, and I hate that. It was Steps at first, but suddenly Floor decided to horn in and be in the center. 😄

I realize this is changing and is confusing, but here's the Windows 10 app and music situation, as I understand it:
Beginning with Versa 2, the Windows 10 app is being phased out for new trackers.
But, for now at least, you can still view your data on the Windows 10 app, just looking at you account instead of a specific tracker (though I prefer the fitbit.com dashboard in web browser).
For loading music, at least on Versa 2, use the Fitbit Connect app instead of prior Windows 10 app.
The instructions here have been updated to reflect that, and include the link to download the Fitbit Connect app:
On that page to download the Fitbit Connect app, it is the one at the bottom under "Don't have a mobile device available?"
But, be careful: under the red "Download from Windows store', make sure you click "PC". If 'Windows 10" is selected, it gets the Windows 10 app instead, which will not download music to V2.
The Fitbit Connect app is one where you first download a loader file, then execute it and it goes through the Windows installer.
A word of warning on downloading the Fitbit Connect app: at the end, there is a message something like: 'Now that Windows 10 is updated, uninstall Fitbit Connect'. Do not do that - it is apparently a relic from thinking the reason you were using the installer was just to update the Windows 10 app.
Or, if that sounds like too much, just listen to music on your phone via bluetooth ear buds, though of course I realize you might not always have phone with you, and that not why you bought V2.

I tried to download the FitbitConnect app.. it asked me to log into either GMAIL or FACEBOOK - and neither one worked. When I used Facebook - it gave an error: Sorry, this feature is only available when you have a watch paired to your Fitbit account. To pair, please use the Fitbit mobile app.
My Versa 2 is paired to my phone..I give up.. will wait until Fitbit fixes this. For now I cannot listen to personal music on the Versa 2.

Try logging in with Fitbit account; i.e. email and password as if logging into phone app.

ok... I've downloaded the Fitbit Connect app but when I select Versa 2 on the bottom of "which Fitbit tracker are you setting up?", it does nothing. The app appears to be "thinking" but nothing happens. The icon just spins.

I used FitConnect to transfer music from my PC to the Versa 2. I had already set up the tracker using my Android phone.

Don't try and install the Windows 10 version it gives you the app, install PC version but windows Fitbit connect.

Today I setup my Versa 2 on the Windows 10 App. I found Versa 2 has now appeared in the Fitbit drop down for products, in fact, it is on the top of the list. I have my Andriod Tracfone already paired so I needed to turn off Bluetooth on my cell phone (temporarily) while I am on the laptop and the Versa 2 will sync. Otherwise it will come back with a message that another Bluetooth device is connected to my Versa 2.
It will also show in real time you heart rate.
So this is the current solution for those who like the FitBit Dashboard using the Windows 10 APP from the Windows Store.

I set up a Versa 2 on the Windows 10 app two days ago. It shows up in the list of devices (at the top). It works well until you try and sync after you have turned off your computer, rebooted and gone to work. No one has been able to help with this issue so far. Trying to track down the environmental changes.

If you have any other Bluetooth device like your cellphone anywhere near the computer/laptop it will not sync on the computer until you move that device away from the computer. You may have to restart the computer.
